Flashback to #kingofthehammers2020 when we got this crazy idea to drive a stock bronco out to #hammertown and build it in the pits while people watched and heckled us. The 6 hour long build included full #desolatemotorsports stock width long travel suspension kits (front and rear) , tires / wheels, re gears in both front and rear axles , and one of our bolt in sport cages . Such a cool challenge and would not have been possible with out an awesome crew, hospitality from @bustedknucklefilms and help from all these great companies @bfgoodrichtires @racelinewheels @kingshocks @revolution_gear_and_axle @afepower @pciraceradios @bombereyewear

One our many duties this week was to upgrade this

One our many duties this week was to upgrade this bronco from an heavily worn and over loaded @deaver_suspension_inc Q80 spring pack to our proprietary reverse eye V562 spring pack . We get a lot of questions about the differences and hopefully this will help explain what it is , what it does and the benefits . For 90% of people the q80 spring is great but if your truck is heavy from things like roll cages , spares , camping gear etc the v562 pack may be the answer to your dreams . This 11 leaf pack as you can see has huge free arch , but the biggest thing that sets it apart is the inverted eyelets . Reversing these eyes does multiple things . It allows the spring to have more free arch with out crazy ride height gains , from ride height the bigger arch makes spring more resistant to bottom outs , but one of the biggest things is when the spring does bottom out it doesn’t go into multiple inches of de arch . Keeping the spring from de arching makes the spring live much longer thus holding proper ride height for many years to come . This spring set up is designed using our shackle / hanger combo and requires our heavy duty replacement front spring mount for clearance . Now to compare this v562 pack to spring under and I can tell you this . If we thought spring under was the right answer for a bronco I promise we would make a spring under but... most spring under setups are capable of 20” of travel . Really cool right ? Well we know that a broncos short driveshaft isn’t going to accommodate that much travel neither will 12” shocks mounted under the body so with the v562 pack you get 18” of wheel travel the benefits of spring under (big free arch) and don’t have to worry about the massive loss of ground clearance under your axle from the spring pack hanging down . These springs are manufactured for us by industry leader @deaver_suspension_inc but not available anywhere but through desolate motorsports .
