OUR MOST POPULAR KIT and now 100% bolt on! This lower height performance kit is a great way to get started. It will raise the front end of your Bronco / F150 approximately 2" giving you better ride and clearance for larger tires while increasing your suspension travel. We include Bilstein 5100 series shocks or Fox 2.0 shocks with DM spec 2” lift coils to replace your old saggy factory springs. Choose between our High Clearance or Billet Radius Arms with high quality 1.25β€³ heim joints and limit straps, alignment cams and stainless-steel brake line kit all included. This performance kit will cycle 11” of wheel travel on factory width beams with stock fenders. Beam modification is not required, which helps keep the price of this kit down and less hassle of sending in cores. Optional secondary Shock is available as an add on for increased dampening or dual Fox 2.0 (one with reservoir and one without) for higher fluid capacity. We include a stock height replacement rear shock to match the front so that the vehicle is leveled with no front rake.

Cool Parts, Frustrating Install

I want to start this review with some positives. I absolutely love the quality of the fabricated parts in this kit, the welds, paint, and hardware are top notch. I was impressed with the packaging all being labeled as to what was in the boxes. For the majority, the install was pretty straight forward but towards the end I ran into some pretty rough going. I bought this kit with steel arms, dual 5100’s, the Dana 44 install kit, pivot bushings, and full steering kit for my 1993 f150 4x4. I had major issues with the ttx ball joints in the install kit, I tried several install procedures all to not success. The knuckles were absolutely rock solid with no turning at all once installed. I spent about a week looking into that issue before giving up on them and buying new moog ball joints that ended up working fine. The alignment came in this kit did not work well in my truck, I do not know why. The settings preset from desolate (line scribed in sharpie) were wildly off. Nothing different about my truck, bone stock original parts from the factory before I started this install. The cams have a tendency to slip out of adjustment too when tightening down on the ball joints. I took my truck to a reputable 4x4 shop in my town for the alignment and they had to keep my truck for about a week to figure out the appropriate settings on the cams (I wouldn’t say that this part is desolate’s fault, as it wasn’t them working on my truck). After the suspension settling in, the truck sits almost exactly the same as when I started, which is a bummer for me as I was hoping for an improvement in suspension height but, oh well. The part that really irritates me is the customer service. I sent two emails to desolate motorsports asking in detail several questions about the install of these parts and never got a word back. I figured it all out so it worked out fine. The website says β€œreach out for any questions” in the faq section (blank by the way). But for spending over $4000 in parts with this company I would expect at least someone reaching out calling me an β€œidiot” or a β€œhack mechanic” or maybe helping me out with my questions and bad parts, but I got nothing at all. I did get like 8 emails asking if I would review my parts, so here I am. Shoot, y’all had my truck in an Instagram story on your page but no customer service help at all. I do like the parts, just not the experience.
