About Desolate
Desolate Motorsports builds parts for people who actually use their trucks. We specialize in the OBS Ford platform and a growing lineup of aftermarket products engineered to perform on and off the pavement. Our customers are builders, hobbyists, and weekend warriors who care about quality and want to talk to someone who knows and understands what they're working on.
The Role
We're looking for someone to be the first voice and inbox our customers hear from. You'll handle inbound sales calls and emails, answer product questions, walk customers through fitment and basic technical questions, and help close orders. This is not a script-reading call center job. You need to know the product, know the platform, and know how to talk to truck guys.
What You'll Do
- Answer inbound sales calls and respond to customer emails
- Provide basic technical assistance on Desolate products and fitment
- Help customers select the right parts for their build
- Process orders and follow up on quotes
- Maintain accurate customer records and order notes
- Coordinate with the shop and shipping teams on order status
- Flag recurring customer questions to help improve product pages and FAQs
What You Need
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the off-road, automotive, or powersports industry
- Working knowledge of the OBS Ford platform (1980–1997 F-Series, Bronco) is a major plus
- Comfortable on the phone and over email
- Solid written communication
- Organized, dependable, and self-managing
- Genuine interest in trucks and off-road culture
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience wrenching, building, or wheeling
- Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
- Background in technical support or parts counter work
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage dependent on experience level. Details discussed in interview.
