THE COMPLETE PACKAGE
BUILD IT ONCE. BUILD IT RIGHT.
For the Bronco owner ready to move beyond stock axles, undersized suspension components, and pieced-together conversions, this lift kit provides the foundation for a no nonsense, 90% bolt-on axle swap. The "Daily Driver" Super Duty Conversion is the complete suspension solution for 1980-1996 Broncos making the jump to 2005-2016 Ford Super Duty axles.
Built to take the abuse. Built to perform on the street. Built to go further off-road.
This isn't a mild upgrade. It's the foundation for a properly built Super Duty axle swapped Bronco.
Instead of piecing together a heavy-duty axle swap with mismatched suspension components, Desolate Motorsports engineered these front and rear systems to work together as one cohesive package. The result is a Bronco suspension built around the strength of a Super Duty Dana 60 front axle and 10.5" rear axle—with the suspension performance, ride quality, and control to match.
SUPER DUTY AXLE STRENGTH ON A BRONCO CHASSIS.
The front system provides a complete bolt-on solution for a 2005-2016 Super Duty Dana 60 axle. Fabricated shock buckets, adjustable link arms, a custom track bar, extended frame brackets, and massive 1.25" chromoly heim joints give the front suspension the strength and adjustability needed for a high quality build.
BUILT FOR 35s. READY FOR 37s.
The system provides approximately 4-6" of lift, approximately 4" of additional track width, and the clearance needed to run 35 inch tires without building the suspension with generic off-the-shelf components. This kit can even accommodate 37"+ tires with trimming. The rear suspension also pushes the wheelbase back approximately 1/2", helping address the common front-side tire clearance issue in the rear wheel opening.
FRONT SUSPENSION
Heavy-duty axles deserve heavy-duty suspension.
The front conversion is engineered to adapt the modern Super Duty axle the Bronco without sacrificing drivability. All brackets locate themselves off existing factory holes taking the guess work out of the install.
Front Component Features:
- Bolt-on replacement straight-axle shock towers
- King 2.5" coil-over shocks with remote reservoirs and compression adjusters
- Adjustable Link Arm System
- Custom Trac Bar
-
1.25" chromoly heim joints
- Cross-member reinforcement bracket
- Front limit straps
- Extended front brake lines
- Conversion U-joint
The fabricated shock towers allow the use of Custom Spec'd 8" King coil-over shocks without cutting into the factory plastic inner fender wells. The adjustable arm system and massive heim joints provide the strength and adjustability expected from a true performance suspension system.
REAR SUSPENSION
The rear system was developed specifically because a Super Duty rear axle demands more from the Bronco's suspension than the factory 8.8 axle. The proprietary Desolate Motorsports HD rear leaf springs, developed with Deaver Spring, are built to properly support the increased weight and torque of the 8-lug Super Duty axle while helping control handling, ride quality, resistance to axle wrap, and improving suspension performance.
Rear Component Features:
- Heavy-duty rear leaf springs with bushings and sleeves
- Heavy-duty extended shackles
- Fabricated drop shackle hangers
- Billet upper shock mounts
- Weld-on lower shock mounts
- Leaf spring perches
- U-bolts and U-bolt plates
- Weld-on bump pads
- Extended rear brake line
- All necessary hardware
- Choice of rear shocks
- Optional rear sway bar
Custom-configured King 2.5" rear shocks with compression adjusters can be valved specifically for the Bronco, giving the suspension the damping control necessary to tune the vehicle for its specific terrain, load, and driving style.
ENGINEERED, NOT COBBLED TOGETHER.
Every Desolate Motorsports fabricated component is CAD designed, laser cut, CNC bent, fixture welded, and finished in a semi-gloss black powder coat.
The result is more than a collection of suspension parts. The front and rear systems are designed around the Super Duty axle platform and engineered to function together as a complete suspension system.
IMPORTANT FITMENT & INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
- This system is designed for 1980-1996 Ford Broncos using a 2005-2016 Ford Super Duty Dana 60 front axle and a matching 8-lug rear axle. This kit requires the complete Super Duty front axle, including brakes, along with the stock steering/tie-rod and drag-link components from the same truck.
- The front driveshaft will need to be shortened.
- Rear installation requires welding of new spring perches and lower shock mounts to the Super Duty rear axle, removal of the factory suspension components, and muffler relocation for up-travel clearance.
- Professional installation or experience with suspension fabrication and welding is recommended.
All trucks require alignment after installation.
