King Off-Road Racing Performance Series coil over shocks with IBP provide the highest level of performance damping and suspension control for your vehicle. These rebuildable coil overs are manufactured using a 3.0” diameter shock tube running 3.75” inner diameter dual rate coils, and cycle 12” of travel. Run this shock alone on your Bronco for a ride quality that’s at the top of the market. These coil overs ship sprung, valved, and shimmed with what works best for overall performance on your Bronco in our testing. We encourage you to send us an email or add a comment to your order giving us some information about your vehicle so we will be able to build your shocks to suit your needs. Some examples of helpful information are: vehicle width, tire size, additional weight like roll cage or plate bumpers, and how you use your Bronco (street, desert, prerunning, trails, etc.) Providing us with these details, will insure we valve and spring your shocks perfectly for your vehicle. Note: Shocks are built to order, please anticipate a 3-4 week lead time. Fabrication, suspension, and welding experience required for install. All shocks are shipped without nitrogen charge. How it works: Mounted to the shaft below the standard piston, a second set of valving is housed in a billet aluminum chamber that contains valve shims and port openings that allow fluid to bypass the standard piston by flowing through ports into the shock’s hollow shaft. When the taper reaches the full pin diameter, it restricts flow through the secondary valving diverting all fluid flow through the primary piston valving. Pin length determines the point in the shocks travel where the bypass flow is metered.  The taper angle controls how sudden or gradual the restriction. When the secondary valving is closed and all fluid is flowing through the primary piston, enough damping force exists at the last few inches of compression travel to compress the fluid at the top of the shock body creating a suspension arresting hydraulic bump stop. The internal bypass shock can be set-up with light valving at ride height to deliver a smooth comfortable ride while still providing substantial damping force at full compression to prevent bottoming out during hard use.
