Ive had this plate for about 7 months.

I purchased this plate early this year to bolt onto my f150 after breaking a steering gear box last summer. I do actually beat on this truck, and I have nose picked it more than once. A Memorial Day weekend I went to silver lake with the truck and Bent the aluminum plate up in a set of whoop’s… seen sand flying multiple times from ground contact… actually sanded the grade 8 bolts enough that the yellow zinc coating is gone. The plate tubes held up, and nothing bent other than the aluminum plate itself.

4th of July (just yesterday) I went back to the dunes, and hit some whoops so hard that my front frame rail under the shock bucket where the factory bump stop is located, and I hit the skid plate more again.  This time, I bent the plate even more, but the structure itself still looks good and straight.

I’d say for anyone skeptical about buying this plate, and wondering if it will hold up, I can say with confidence that this has saved my front steering components at least 4 times, and it has even outlived my radiator in my brand new core support that exploded after a nose pick as well. The design is simple, and it works. It’s definitely been used, and it is a savior to me.

Thank you desolate.
